Muro Box, the engraved image and the music composition are all part of a “thank you” note to my family (especially my wife). Me and my wife have been together for almost 15 years now and during this time we went through major life changes. No matter what was happening, she was always by my side.
In recent years, we had a new baby (the smaller one pictured in the engraving) and as soon as he was born we learned that he had to have an emergency surgery. He was so small and we were all very worried, my wife even more so, but in the end everything was fine and now he is this amazing happy toddler.
I guess I do have a lot to be thankful about. Specifically about the chosen image, it depicts myself, my wife (Solange), my older child (Eduardo) and the younger one (Artthur).

When the song was first released my girlfriend and I were high school students and both liked the song a lot, so she made me a T-shirt with the lyrics above. The text on the shirt said ‘I don’t mind if you don’t mind’, which is the part of the song that comes just before the part on the box ‘I don’t shine if you don’t shine’, so combining them makes the full verse from the song:
‘I don’t mind if you don’t mind
‘Cause I don’t shine if you don’t shine’.”
About 12 years later she is now my wife and the mother of my child so it turned out the quote was actually true for us. When I saw Muro Box I figured it was high time I returned the favor, I hope she likes it as much as I do!”

I like its concept because my wife and I came from different families with different backgrounds, and it is hard to find the right partner among so many people. My husband loves the movie “Titanic” and he has watched it more than 10 times!
There is one scene in this movie when the leading actor, Jack, explains his life philosophy to the upper-class people at a night party. He said, “I figure life’s a gift and I don’t intend on wasting it. You don’t know what hand you’re gonna get dealt next. You learn to take life as it comes at you… to make each day count.”
My husband gave me the above quote when I lost direction in my life. He wishes we can “make every day count”, and we have many shared memories. Hence, I want to engrave this sentence “You make my every day count” on the Muro Box to present it to him.
