このオルゴールは、音色が非常に美しく、聴いているだけで心が癒されます。共鳴箱を活用することで音量が増し、離れた場所からでも楽しむことができました。古いスマートフォンを使用した接続では少し手間がかかりましたが、新しいスマートフォンでは簡単に接続できました。総じて、音のクオリティとシンプルな操作性に満足しています。
私はオルゴールの音色が大好きで約30年くらい前に初めてオルゴールの曲を作曲し、それから何曲か続けて作りました。
midi音源で自分の曲を再生した時、嬉しさもありましたが当時は現在のリアルな音源やvstもなく「いつか、本物のオルゴールで鳴らしてみたい」という夢を持つようになりました。
それから何年か経ち手回しオルゴールを購入しましたが、当時は白鍵のみで大幅にアレンジが必要な上、長い楽曲には不向きだったり、本物のオルゴールのように自動演奏できないためリラックスして聞くことができませんでした。
2018年にN20のNewsを見ましたが、半音階が使えず購入を断念しました。
理由は、半音階が使えなかったからです。
作曲をする方なら理解できると思いますが作曲を続けていると、どうしても転調や半音階を使ったり、様々なキーで作りたくなります。
N20に半音階がどうしても欲しいと思って、muro boxのプロジェクトを見ていたらN40のプロトタイプの話題があり「出たら必ず買う！」と心に決めていました。
そして、2025年6月…
ついに、私は夢を叶えることができました。
学生だった自分が結婚して家族に、その時作曲した曲を本物のオルゴールで聞かせることができました。

I’ve loved the sound of music boxes for as long as I can remember. About 30 years ago, I composed my first piece for a music box, and after that, I wrote several more.
When I played back my compositions using MIDI sound sources, I was happy, but at the time, there were no realistic VST instruments like we have today. I had a dream: “Someday, I want to hear my music played on a real music box.”
Years later, I purchased a hand-cranked music box. However, it only supported white keys and required major rearrangements. It wasn’t suitable for long pieces, and since it couldn’t play automatically like a real music box, I couldn’t listen to it in a relaxed manner.
Then, in 2018, I came across the news about the N20 model. However, I gave up on buying it since it couldn’t play chromatic notes. That was the key reason I passed on it.
Those who compose music can understand this—once you continue writing music, you want to modulate keys, use chromaticism, and compose in various keys.
I really wanted an N20 that could handle chromatic notes. While reading about the Muro Box project, I saw news about a prototype of the N40. I immediately thought, “I’ll definitely buy it when it comes out!” and made up my mind.
And then, in June 2025… At last, my dream came true.
I, who had once been just a student, got married, started a family—and I was finally able to play the pieces I composed back then on a real music box for my loved ones.

I'm truly delighted to be using the Muro Box.
I ordered it from South Korea in November, and after nearly six months of use, I wanted to share my experience. I first discovered the Muro Box through its development videos on YouTube, and I was deeply moved by the dedication and passion that went into creating it.
The mechanism is incredibly ingenious—truly admirable from an engineering perspective.
Using the Muro Box app, I played the intro of one of my favorite game OSTs: "To Me, My Childhood" from Lost Ark.

I swear, if I could give 11 stars, I would. I'd been looking for a music box for a long time that could play a custom melody, but no company could due to repeating notes. I found out about Muro Box online and contacted them to see if it was possible. Not only did they say they could compose it (which they did beautifully with one minor note change that didn't impact the melody), but they were engaged, communicative, and friendly throughout the entire process. They asked questions about the melody, sent me examples of the custom composition, and even offered to add extra songs to play offline. Their customer service alone was impeccable and I'm so impressed. I just got my box today and have been giddy going through all the melodies that people uploaded on the app. The price may be scary but it is absolutely worth it! Thank you so much to the Muro Box team for creating such a beautiful product and a big source of joy for years to come.

我們心目中本想送一個音樂盒給女兒，沒想到在GOOGLE很快看到Murobox的網絡介紹覺得非常合眼緣，就決定親身去看看實物。在十一月中我們抱著Aria從香港飛到台灣旅行，也特意抽出一個上午的時間到新北市Murobox的工作室看看，創辦人蔡筱晨小姐用心地為我們介紹她和她的團隊的音樂盒製成品，我們深深被音樂盒的音質，木製外觀以及拿上手的質感所吸引，也即時決定買了N20標準版。蔡小姐也與我們拍了一張即影即有合照留念。

La présence de chœurs sous forme de notes longues tout au long du morceau n'était pas du tout évident à retranscrire avec une boite à musique !

Après quelques échanges pour peaufiner quelques détails, j'ai reçu le fichier à inclure dans la boite à musique.

I’m thrilled I’m now on my fourth Murobox, and the experience has been incredible. The composing service offered by Murobox has been a game-changer for my music project, Alchemelic. They've composed 28 works for the N20, and the results are excellent. Each melody resonates deeply with me, and hearing my compositions come to life through the Murobox is an unparalleled joy.
I initially ordered two Muroboxes, hoping someone in the family would fall in love with them as much as I have. Sure enough, they did! My daughter was heartbroken when she realized she didn’t have one, especially since her sister already did. Although my son isn't interested yet - he might be a bit too young - I’m sure he’ll want one someday. A close to perfect automatic music instrument,
which delivers natural sound and comes with lots of melodies without extra pay.
I love the Muto Box, and the support team is also very communicative nice and helpful.
I use it to relax between chores, and also to clear my head , it takes the place of annoying thoughts.
There is something magical about music which is natural and doesnt come out of an electronic speaker, the sound is composed natural and delicate.
I deducted one star because there is always room for upgrade and improvements, like in some known melodies which are more complex and fast going the device has room for improvement. but for most of the melodies which fit music boxes it is a wonderful pleasing device.
Plus, there is no other device like it which I know of.

I bought this through Kickstarter, wanted it for our December 2023 wedding gift. It came through with the winter tune I requested, and I have since added several for each season. The schedule works perfectly, music box comes on every night at bedtime. If we don’t feel like listening, just tap the app icon on iPhone and it shuts off till next night. I’m so happy I found this, because I love music boxes but not that the traditional type that plays one tune which only lasts as long as the wind-up.
