【The Quote for Our Family Memories】
Alex and his wife, Bianca, preserve their high school dating memories with the Muro Box that has their meaningful quote and their love song programmed. Now, they keep the Muro Box in front of their lovely family photos.
Alex purchased the Muro Box during our Indiegogo campaign in 2020, and he chose a meaningful quote “I don’t shine if you don’t shine” to engrave on his Muro Box.
We asked him the meaning of this quote, and he replied:
“The quote is from an older song called ‘Read My Mind’ by The Killers. When the song was first released, my girlfriend and I were high school students and both liked the song a lot, so she made me a T-shirt with the lyrics above. The text on the shirt said, ‘I don’t mind if you don’t mind’, which is the part of the song that comes just before the part on the box, ‘I don’t shine if you don’t shine,’ so combining them makes the full verse from the song:
‘I don’t mind if you don’t mind,
‘Cause I don’t shine if you don’t shine.'”
About 12 years later, she is now my wife and the mother of my child, so it turned out the quote was actually true for us. When I saw Muro Box, I figured it was high time I returned the favor; I hope she likes it as much as I do!”
