This song is part of a musical story around 2 popular children figures called Jip en Janneke. The story goes like this: 2 children being best friends always play together. One day, it's raining outside and so they decided to jump onto the sofa having some fun. But as mom didn't like that, they decide to play shop while Mom bakes a cake for grandma and grandpa. After a while, it stopped raining and the cake is ready, so the children are asked to go down to grandma and grandpa to give them the cake. So, first they call grandma and grandpa to see if it's ok for them and after that, they are about to go right on their way. Mom of course tells them about the traffic rules and that they should be careful as it is dangerous on the road. But then, the children take their little dog with them and went away. Unfortunately, the dog escapes and ran away not to be seen again. Jip and Janneke ask a man and a woman to see if they might have seen their dog, but unfortunately, they didn't. Now, as this all is taking a bit longer than expected, grandma and grandpa become quite worried and nervous looking through the window so they might notice something. Suddenly, they see the little dog and although they are glad to let the dog in, this makes them even more worried as they now are quite sure something happened to the children. Fortunately however, some time later, the children arrive and everything comes to a nice ending.

This is a story I know from back when I was a todler. It was played many times in our class at that time and anytime I listen back to it now, it seems like I am a todler once more. And so I decided to make N40 versions of all songs within this story to capture the memory as one of the memories in this single music box.
