Back when I was about 5 years old, I got my first new cassette player (before, I had an old cassette player my father used to own, but that one played too fast 🙂 ) and when my parents gave it to me and we pressed "PLAY", this song was heard. I found out later that the cassette playing at that time was Cliff Richard's album "Every face tells a story", but for me, this song was the beginning of my real exploration of the cassette format. I remember recording some silly things to some old cassettes, just because I really was fascinated by recording and playing back my own voice or some sounds around the house. Also I made a lot of recordings of myself "singing" songs with a little tin drum acompanyment; it was great fun for me, but it drove everyone that had to keep up with me, damn crazy. But until today, I am fascinated by recording music I play and sing myself and nowadays, there are fortunately a few people loving my music. But after some old worn-out reel-to-reel players, a worn-out record player and an old cassette player, this song (played on my first new cassette player) really was the start of a new era in my life as a child.
