This is a song by Dutch artists Jenny Arean and Frans Halsema. The song is somewhat boring (although musically challenging due to the time signature transformations and chords used in the chorus). And so are the lyrics picturing this extremely negative world view where people are trapped inside a terrible world totally gone wrong. The memory attached to this one is that, somewhere in 2014, a friend and I attended a concert where they performed this satirical version of this song. In their version, the song described the scene of someone dealing with a stuck closed window so no fresh air was coming in. Those lyrics describe that person's attempts to unstuck the window by banging, lubricating, de-rusting, but no matter what he tries, the window remains stuck until he calls that workman with the low hour tarif who solved the problem. 🙂 What a relief to hear this comic version in comparison to the original lyrics. 🙂
